Massie walked down the stairs of OCD in her cute little jean mini and her white blouse and through her drink into the trashcan at the bottom of them. She started to walk toward the street that divided OCD and Briarwood Academy. Her hair bounced with her as she walked toward the busy street. Knowing perfectly well that it didnt matter what grade was driving by to get home right now, she would be able to cross. When she got to the crosswalk, she stood with her arms crossed and through her hair bahind her shoulder. She gave the junior in the silver car coming up to the section she was at a smile and he graciously stopped and let her pass. She gave him a little wave and walked on across. Once she was over there, she sat on a little bench near the sidewalk. Not wanting to look like she was actually there to check out the guys that came in this year, but more to look like she was just sitting oustide for a rest. She took out her Prada bag and started to look inside it, secretly looking up everyone once in a while to see who was coming out of the doors.

Finally, the end of the day..Or was it? Demo didn't know WHAT was the end at this point, he didn't exactly understand the schedule at the new school he was going to. Hopefully he wouldn't have to come back to the school until the next day, but if he did he probably wouldn't come. Hey, Demo had his own way of doing things and skipping was in the top five of things he did best anyhow. Walking out of the school building and down the steps that were out front, Demo looked around for familiar faces. Someone he knew from math class, a bus driver, anyone he could possibly talk to. If you knew Demo, you would know that he was in pure desperation if he wanted some stranger to talk to. He barely spoke to his own mother, the person who gave him life... So the fact that Demo wanted to talk to a bus driver at a time like this was a sort of big deal. After looking around like a complete loser for a long while, Demo finally spotted someone who didn't look at all familiar, but she did seem kind of alone, and she was pretty. Although she looked young, Demo didn't feel like thinking about how old this girl was, he just wanted to talk to someone desperately. Running across the street and receiving many honks from the on going traffic, the teenager waved they off and reached the bench panting. Pushing his left hand against the hard wood and breathing hard, Demo didn't even wait to catch his breath before he spoke to the girl. "Hey random person. Hows it going?" He asked, still breathing hard but not as hard as when he had first gotten to the bench. Wondering if the girl had even heard him, Demo finally caught his breath and stared at her.

Massie was doing her routine of looking up and back down into her purse, when she saw a cute boy walk down the steps. And...she didnt recognize him. This couldnt be right, she knew everyone at OCD and Briarwood. It was like her job to know. She was the Queen Bee of OCD, which made her have the reponsibilty of keeping track of everyone. She acted again like she was busy doing something, then looking up and seeing the boy run this way, she smiled and sat up straight and sat her purse down beside her. As he approached her she saw that he was out of breath, running across a busy street could do that to you i guess. "Hey," She paused and gave him one of her million dollar smiles. "Other, random person." Random person? Did he do this often, was this just an exeption. Oh well. She was glad he did. He was cute. She just hoped that Derrington wasnt around to see them talking. If he did though, it wouldnt be bad. It wasnt like they were together or anything. If he waited too long, and another guy asked her out, then that was his lose. She looked at the new face and waited to see what he would do next. She was happy to meet a new guy though, new things were always good.

Come to think of it, Demo really was a random person to her. I mean, he had just run from across the street and kind of started talking to her. Lucky for her though, he hadn't started a complete conversation, talking about something completely random that could take years to explain. Demo didn't want to bore anyone, now did he? "Yes I am random, but it keeps life interesting." Demo responded, nodding twice. It honestly did keep life a bit more fun, not really knowing what was going to happen next. Being random has that affect on people. "So you got a name?" Had Demo honestly ever met anyone who didn't have a name? I mean, even people who were just born, their parents already had names in mind. When they..Popped out, the parents on the telly always said 'She looks like a Martha' or "I think you'll be Dill' or something stupid like that, but you get the picture. Names are always in mind, so no Demo hadn't ever met someone without a name, so this chick had to have a name. My logic is working tonight.

"Yes, It does keep life interesting." She responded to his statement. This guy seemed really random, but in a good way. He seemed like he was a funny guy. Not really caring what other people though of him. She liked that in a guy. She heard him ask if she had a name. Gosh, guys could be so...wierd sometimes. All you have to ask a girl is what is your name, not, you got a name. But she shook that looking over at him again. She was beginning to see that he was a nice guy probably. She would be really disapointed if he turned out to be rude though. Hopefully he wouldnt. "Massie." She said smiling over at him again. "And yours?" She asked, wondering what his name was too.

So obviously Demo wasn't the only strangely insane person who thought that randomness kept life unexpected. It was good that they were agreeing on something within the first..five minutes of their meeting, even if they were complete strangers and it was just one small thing that they were agreeing on. "Cool name.. I bet there aren't many Massie's on the planet." Demo responded, nodding again. What was with him and the nodding today? He was like a walking talking bobble head or something, without the weird shiny clothes and the plaque glued to his sneakers. "I'm Demo. Nice to meet someone my age whose a girl, instead of a fifty year old lady with an ugly blouse on." Yes Demo was referring to one of her teachers. Maybe they could have someone in style? I guess not, the guys could get distracted quite easily that way.

She smiled again. What was with her and all of this smiling? She almost never smiled this much. I mean, sure she was a happy person. But nothing has ever seemed to make her smile this much in this little of time. there was something very different about this guy that she liked. He made her smile. "Thanks, I doubt there are." She said, knowing that shed never met another massie, ever. So yeah, she guessed that it was a little unique. She liked that about it though. It set her apart from the rest of the world, made her even more special. "Well its very nice to meet you Demo." Demo, that was a unique name too. She liked it, it was different. She liked that he was different than the rest of the guys here too. That already made him special. The rest of the guys here were just idiots now. Always making fools out of themselves around girls. But that would to be expected i guess, i mean around her and Alicia and her friends, who wouldnt be? "I like that name, Demo." She said, saying his name again at the end of her sentence. It was a nice name. So i guess they had something in common, they both had unique names. This thought made her smile again. oh, stop it massie, your going to look like an idiot smiling too much! But it was too late, he made her smile and that was that.

Demo liked Massie's name but doubted he would like to own it. I mean, all the idiot teachers out there who would surely pronounce the name wrong on the first day of school or something. Its not that hard, well of course Demo didn't know how it was spelled but it COULDN'T be that hard, could it? Demo was an easy name, but most teachers tried to hard when trying to say it and ended up screwing it beyond all belief. It was annoying having a name that people got wrong. "Thanks, I like mine too. But I've had a lot of cracks at my name. I'm sure yours takes a truely smart person to find a pun with your name." Hm, I guess she was lucky in that way. But anyways, change the subject! Talk about something besides one of Demo's many flaws, being his name. It bugged him at times, being named what he was but other times he was fine with it. Demo was kind of in the middle at the moment. What could they talk about next. "So what were you doing before I came over and ruined your fun?" Demo asked, jumping over the top of the bench and sitting on it instead of next to her. Maybe she was one of those people who liked having a lot of space in between them. Or maybe she didn't want to be seen with the unknown new kid..Who knows?

"Yeah i guess it might." She said, thinking that no one has really ever tried. Either it being hard to as a reason, or the reason being that she was in The Clique, and no one would ever dare to do that to her anyway. She would never know, that, she hated to admit, was one bad thing of being in the clique, you never really knew who was your true friend. But this guy was being nice to her without knowing that, or did he. She wasnt about to ask though. No way... She giggled a little at his next question. Her fun, yeah right, she was looking through her purse and checking out guys, well, now that she thought about it, what could be more fun? "You didnt ruin any fun, there wasnt any to begin with. I was just sitting around." She replied, not really knowing how to respond to that. She was kind of disapointed when he sat farther away from her, but definetly wouldnt let it show. She didnt let that kind of stuff get to her, or, at least, she didnt let it show.

"Well, nice to know I didn't interrupt anything" Demo replied, nodding. You know, the next time he nods I swear I'm going to jump into the computer and knock him out. Of course its my fault that hes nodding.. "So you want to go do something a bit funner than sitting around, or are you somehow glued to the bench?" Not to be forward or anything, it wasn't like Demo was asking her out on a date because she was- Well there are actually a lot of reasons as to why it wouldn't be too easy to ask her out, but Demo could barely hear himself nod with all the cars going past, and anyways...they were on an extremely hard bench talking about names. I guess it doesn't get much better than that..? [/blockquote]

She laughed again. This guy was cute, in a funny way. She nodded and picked up her prada bag and slung it over her shoulder. She through her hair over her shoulder and began to walk toward the cross walk again. Immediatly all the cars stopped on either side and were waiting for her to pass. She looked back to him and smiled flirtily. "Well, are you coming?" She laughed and started to run across the street. If he didnt hurry, the cars would start to go again. But she'd make sure that they waited for him. She didnt want him to be left behind. She pulled her glossip girl lip gloss out of her bag and applied a coat of her new very berry that she got this morning before he came over. She wanted to look her best. Not that they were going on a date or anything. But she never knew what one thing would lead to another. You just never know.

Demo didn't think it would happen that fast, it was like he blinked and she was already over at the crosswalk. I guess girls had the power to do that type of thing, simply amazing. "Of course I am." Demo responded, walking a bit faster than he usually did. I mean sure he wanted to walk normal but he didn't want to lose Massie either. She seemed like the type of person who had..Cars waiting for her. Demo watched in amazment as she ran across the street, the cars waiting until she got to the other side. They still waited, as though the fact that Massie had crossed the street in front of them had affected the rest of their day or something. Demo rushed across the street after her, glad that the cars didn't begin to move once he was halfway across or something. "Seeing as you seem to have the town in the palm of your hand and you probably know your way around better than I do, lead the way." Demo didn't want to be the manly one who led the two of them into some horrible area of town that would put them in danger. He wasn't one to enjoy being blamed for things like that, and since Massie really did seem to be one to take charge, Demo figured she wouldn't mind taking them someplace fun. Anyways, Demo wouldn't mind following her anywhere..

She laughed again to herself as she watched him running across the street. She knew the town good enough to know that the cars wouldnt go until he crossed, but still, it was somewhat amusing to see him thinking otherwise. When he finally got across the street she put a smile on her face again and started to walk again, making sure that he was right next to her this time. She didnt want to lose him. "I dont know about the whole world, just this town." She winked and laughed again. She was being sarcatic of coarse, but it was still fun to hang out with someone who was hanging out with her because he wanted to, not because she was "Queen Massie". It was nice to have someone like her for her for once. It was something new to her. She thought that maybe they would just walk around for a while, and get to know each other for a while, then they could go to starbucks or something like that. Or to the mall, where her friends would maybe be. Ok, mall, bad idea, but starbucks. She really couldnt pass that up. Hopefully he liked starbucks too. I mean, how couldnt he?

"Well this town seems big enough to be the whole world. And anyways the world is a lot like this.." Had Demo just said that completely confusing sentence out loud, or was he just imagining things? Maybe shes one of those weird girls who walks really fast to make sure everyone is always behind her, Demo thought as he finally reached her side and walked at the same pace as her. No, she obviously wasn't since he didn't feel like he was power walking or anything; he was walking at a normal pace. Demo began to think about how challenging it must be to walk fast in heels and still look semi attractive, but of course he was a guy and didn't really need to think about things he would never do. Heels and him? No thanks. "So tell me something about you. Or if you don't want to, tell me something about this city. Its a lot bigger than my small town that I'm used to. I mean old town." Ah, old town miseries. Although this town was huge and busy and was probably pretty at night time, Demo still missed his old town where he knew everything was in its place, where he felt like he belonged. Something here just didn't seem to suit him, but maybe he just kind of had to mold to the city..? However long it would take for that to happen, that is.

She laughed at his sentence, then his confused look on his face. Not meaning to be mean about it though. She thought it was cute the way he did that. she just smiled in response to it though, she didnt really know what to say to it. It was kind of confusing, but she knew what he meant. The town was like her world. But he was just getting closer to her secret, and she didnt want him to know. At least not yet, not until she was sure that he liked her as her...and not just because she was Massie. If that made any sense. "Ok, well..." What was there to tell that wasnt about her fabulous life style that she leads everyday. At school, after school, with her friends, at home, everywhere! What could she possibly tell him that wasnt about her superstar life? "Um...I have a dog." There. Oh my god. did i seriously just say i have a dog...she was sinking, and fast. But that was the only thing that didnt give her away. My that was pathetic. How low was she willing to sink for this boy? Aparently to the bottom of the ocean, because thats where she was going. But actually, when she looked over at him, she really didnt care. "What about you?" She wanted to know some things about him too. He seemed like the mysterious type that she wanted to figure out. That was another great thing about him. The guys around here were so typical and easy to figure out, but not him. Thats what made him so exciting. And worthwhile.
